Steve Marcou is a Wealth Manager with nearly two decades of experience as a financial advisor. His journey to becoming a financial advisor was inspired by his own experience using one. Seeing the value financial advisors provide in helping others achieve their financial goals, Steve wanted to do the same.
He began his career in 2006 at AXA Advisors working with insurance companies for four years and then in banking four years after. Having worked through three bear markets over his nearly double-decade career, Steve has a wealth of knowledge in navigating markets and helping retirees manage their assets.
Most recently, he worked at TIAA where he built a passion for working with retired professors managing their 403(b) accounts. Outside of work, Steve is huge on family, friends and his faith. He loves to spend time with his four children. He also loves to stay active and is a big sports fan, with rooting interests for the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

After working with my own financial advisor, I realized I loved the idea of being able to help others achieve their financial goals. In 2006, I accepted a job with AXA Advisors working in the insurance industry and then later on in banking at Huntington Bank and JP Morgan. My financial advisor career now spans almost 20 years.
I work with clients who want help managing their retirement assets. I tend to work with a lot of retired college professors.
My primary areas of expertise are financial planning, income planning, mutual fund/ETF investing, and retirement planning.
Each client has unique goals, so I tailor my strategies to fit their needs. Overall, I often help my clients manage their retirement assets while targeting efficient tax strategies to avoid unnecessary taxes, where possible. I also help clients generate income while in retirement, so they can comfortably enjoy their post-retirement lives.
More than anything, I believe my nearly two decades in the industry and having historical visibility into so much change in the markets over the years sets me apart. I’ve navigated my way through about three bear markets, which included supporting clients and their financial needs accordingly. I’m also very keen on educating my clients about their finances. I believe that makes my clients more financially knowledgeable than the average client.
I love seeing clients enjoy retirement with confidence and achieve their unique goals. For some, it’s traveling more. For others, it’s transferring their wealth to family members. No matter the goal, I love helping my clients achieve their aspirations.
