How did you become a financial advisor?

I was inspired to become a Financial Advisor after my experience in the 2009 Major League Baseball (“MLB”) draft. Despite not intending to go pro after a successful college baseball career, I was drafted unexpectedly. Without an agent, the scout I worked with introduced me to a financial advisor. The financial advisor I worked with was also a former baseball player. They not only guided me through the draft process but also helped me understand the financial aspects of being a professional athlete. His mentorship went beyond managing investments; he helped me navigate the lifestyle and career trajectory. After my playing days, I shadowed him and realized that I wanted to impart the same invaluable guidance to others. I have now served as a financial advisor for more than seven years, guiding athletes, entrepreneurs, young families, and business owners toward securing their financial futures.

This includes planning for long-term goals such as retirement, education expenses, and major purchases. Additionally, I work with my clients to create an emergency fund and budgeting strategies to help them save money and manage their cash flow effectively.

Working with Savvy

Our industry is very archaic and advisors are always bogged down with tasks that take them away from spending time with clients and learning about their clients’ lives. Savvy offers the ability to offload a lot of what advisors spend their time on and allows me to spend more time talking to my clients and seeing them more frequently. Spending time with clients is the only way to truly learn and have a deep understanding of who they are, how they think, and how their family is, which allows me to provide value beyond portfolio management.

Neither Savvy Wealth, nor Savvy Advisors compensates directly for testimonials or endorsements provided herein, by advisers. However advisors may have an indirect financial incentive to provide testimonials.

What is your favorite part about working with clients?

My favorite part of working with clients is the conversations I have with them, learning about their lives and then providing them with solutions that help them achieve their financial goals and aspirations for what they would like their future to look like.
