During my college years, I worked in a customer service and management role, where I enjoyed working with people, navigating challenging situations, and problem-solving. During this time I also had a college roommate who was an economics major and they were glued to CNBC which sparked my interests in the markets. Through a family connection, I was introduced to a Schwab advisor and found similarities between my job and the advisor's role intriguing. This realization led me to pursue a career in advising. I started at Schwab in 2010 and worked my way up to an advisory position at a brand office by 2013. After more than a decade serving as an advisor, I wake up daily to look at the markets and stay involved with the trends to offer the up to date advice to my clients.Â
When I joined Savvy, I began a collaborative venture with my close friend, Michaela Sullivan, who is now my partner as we join forces to assist clients. While I continue to support my individual clients, I look forward to working with Michaela on future clients and supporting each other as we grow our business. I love working with the markets and Michaela is focused on financial planning and combined we want to help our clients achieve their goals.Â
I like to optimize my clients financial future with services like investment and income planning, retirement strategies, tax optimization, social security planning, and guidance through life transitions and liquidity events such as divorce, property or business sales, and inheritances.
I work with a diverse clientele, with a focus on those approaching or in retirement, often with portfolios exceeding $1 million. I believe in not only guiding my clients on portfolio and retirement strategies but also to building connections with their children. I offer advice not only on trust/estate planning but also on education planning for the next generation. It’s important to involve children in the process to help plan for their future.Â
Tailored investment strategies, personalized to individual client needs such as income planning, tax optimization, gifting, and college funding.
I love spending time educating clients, whether they want all the details or just a high level overview. I want to make sure that clients understand why they own certain investments, why their portfolio is set up in a certain manner, etc. I’ve found that clients really appreciate me spending the time to teach them and answer questions and it creates a higher level of comfort. My goal is to have a personal relationship with each client to the point where they feel like a friend or family member.
I enjoy being able to analyze a client’s situation and create strategies to help them meet their goals. It’s very rewarding to see good outcomes, watch a family evolve over time and show clients how powerful investing and planning can be.
I enjoy getting to see clients achieve their goals and finding peace of mind around their finances so they can ultimately enjoy their lives knowing they are secure. I also love getting to the point with clients where they trust me enough to introduce me to their kids and send along friends and family that I can also work with them to achieve their financial goals.
Coming from a firm that had a lot of slow processes and archaic technology, I love how efficient and tech forward things are at Savvy. It’s great that Savvy really listens to advisor feedback and implements solutions to allow us to spend more time focusing on our clients.
