How did you become a financial advisor?

My journey to becoming a financial advisor started in my 20s, following a personal experience that profoundly shaped my career. I was taken advantage of by a financial advisor, and at the time, I didn’t understand the importance of carefully reviewing and tracking my own trades. This vulnerability opened my eyes to the consequences of not having the right knowledge and guidance. That experience sparked a passion in me to help others avoid similar pitfalls and gain a clear understanding of wealth management. I became committed to demystifying the differences between investing and speculating, ensuring my clients are informed and empowered to make decisions that align with their long-term goals. Today, as an advisor, my focus is on building realistic, financial plans that account for both immediate needs and future aspirations, including retirement.

Strategies are always unique to the client, but my primary strategy with my clients starts with truly listening to their goals and providing them with forward-looking advice that reflects their individual needs. From there, I have in-depth discussions with my clients about their comfort level with risk and volatility, which allows me to design a diversified investment strategy that aligns with their risk tolerance. I focus on educating my clients, helping them understand how to monitor their portfolio and recognize when it might be the right time to make adjustments.
