Brian Boswell, CFP®
Hi there! 👋🏼 I'm Brian, I specialize in investment management and custom tailored financial planning for physicians. Drawing on my firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by physicians, I offer guidance on protecting your assets, minimizing taxes, and preparing for the future.
Additionally, I deliver comprehensive financial planning services tailored for business owners, with a focus on employer-sponsored retirement plans. I assist in creating a retirement plan that both works to reduce the tax liability of the business as well as help the plan participants achieve their long-term financial goals.Â
“I spend a lot of time listening to my clients' concerns, past experiences and goals and crafting a solution that is completely unique to their preferences, and aspirations. I believe this leads to better and more accurate planning that creates a much higher degree of alignment with the client.”

Get to know Brian
Straight out of Southwestern University, Brian Boswell was recruited by a large independent broker-dealer, which was his stepping stone to a sales desk at a Fortune 500 financial services company for the next few years. It was here that he realized that meeting quotas and quarterly sales targets was not what he wanted his career to be about.
So, the question was, “Where do I want my career to go and how can I be of service to my clients?” He took some time to examine this question and quickly realized that he needed to find ways to incorporate his client’s entire financial makeup, not just one area of their situation. Brian also knew that money was a source of stress and anxiety for some people, and he was determined to try and help relieve this with sound financial planning. Brian went on to earn his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification and began taking a holistic approach to his client’s needs, incorporating every facet of their financial lives, including their taxes, estate planning, retirement goals, social security and their investment accounts.
Over time, Brian’s clientele expanded, and he found himself working with quite a few physicians who had specialized needs. Brian has first-hand experience helping physicians navigate complex financial and investing decisions, as his wife is an OB/GYN physician at Women’s Health Domain. Through his work with many physician owned practices, he was asked to help with the practices’ 401(k) plans as it was a consistent pain point for the practice owners. Over the years, he has developed a great understanding on how to make 401(k) plans work for a business owner while not creating additional administrative burden or unnecessary risk to the business. Brian previously was head of the 401k Division of Oakwell Private Wealth Management in Austin and New Braunfels.

When he is not taking care of clients, Brian can be found spending time with his high school sweetheart, Katie Boswell, M.D., or coaching his daughter’s basketball and soccer teams. They love the outdoors and try to spend as much time together as possible with their four children.
